LEDX Lights
The story begins with a vision to build the perfect headlamp. To achieve this, only the most advanced materials and best performing components were chosen. The end result was an uncompromising LEDX Lights range that is today very popular with customers who not only seek high power but also have the highest demands for a wide and useful light. We are proud to manufacture these handmade lights in Sweden.
The history of LEDX Lights
LEDX Lights made its debut during a stormy and wet night orienteering competition in autumn 2009. With our background in orienteering, we knew that creating a headlamp that could withstand extreme weather conditions would not be an easy task.
LEDX Light's founder and inventor Anders Johansson created the first prototype, called 'Ur-Cobran'. His vision was to use high quality material and combine with advanced technology to create a lamp that would outperform anything on the existing market and with a competitive advantage. Just 6 months after the first prototype was completed, production started and Cobra I was released to the market.
The timing was perfect and the 10-mile orienteering event was coming up as word of LEDX Lights' reliability and performance spread. Several elite orienteers used the LEDX lights during the race and raved about them. Sales began to pick up, allowing for the release of the Cobra II in the summer of 2011. Cobra II was an important milestone for LEDX Lights and had many of the characteristics that our customers symbolise with our brand; a wide and long light pattern, low weight, good balance and reliability.
The upgrades kept coming until 2014, when we launched a whole new range of lamps - Kaa, Mamba and Cobra - and along with them a range of accessories. This became the basis of a system of lamps and accessories that are compatible with each other. The aim of the system was to cater for a wider range of users and their need for bright and durable lamps.
We couldn't foresee the success that would follow! Today, our lights are used by many of the world's top athletes. Orienteers, enduro and MX riders, cross-country skiers, hunters, forest rangers are some of the customer groups that use our products.
