GWO Sea Survival Refresh 1 day

GWO Sea Survival Refresh is a one-day refresher course conducted in accordance with the GWO international standard. It aims to provide basic knowledge and skills to be able to act safely when working at sea, especially in connection with transport to and from offshore wind turbines. The course is conducted according to the GWO-Basic Safety Training, Sea Survival (Global Wind Organisation) standard and is led by experienced and well-trained instructors from C2 Vertical Training.

Target group

The course is aimed at those who need to renew their certificate in GWO Sea Survival.

Course element

• International and national regulations
• Knowledge of the risks and symptoms of hypothermia and drowning
• Use of personal protective equipment and life-saving equipment
• Emergency preparedness and safety procedures on installations, vessels and wind turbines (WTG)
• Understanding the strengths and limitations of different types of LSA and PPE commonly used in the wind energy industry
• First aid for man overboard situations (MOB)
• Evacuation from wind turbines to water using evacuation equipment
• Handling of life rafts
• Helicopter rescue operations from water
• Safe boarding and movement between quay and ship, ship to WTG and between ships

Prerequisites

• Completed GWO SS - Sea Survival training
• WINDA profile
• At least 18 years old
• Able to swim and in good physical health
• Before starting the programme, all students must sign a health declaration.

Course information

We provide the equipment and materials for the course. At C2's courses, we always use the latest and best equipment available on the market. The courses can be held in both Swedish and English. If you want other languages, please contact us! Coffee and lunch included. Minimum 4, maximum 8 participants.

WINDA fee of 100 SEK/module is included.
