GWO EFA - Enhanced First Aid
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Enhanced First Aid Training is a new standard for training in the wind energy industry. The training includes advanced rescue assistance for locations where traditional rescue is not available within a reasonable time. EFA should enable the participant to support and care for a colleague in distress, with improved and enhanced first aid knowledge.

Target group
The training is aimed at, for example, wind turbine technicians, repairmen or electricians working in remote areas where traditional rescue assistance is difficult due to distance and access. Upon completion of the EFA training, the trainee will be able to administer safe, effective and immediate life-saving and enhanced first aid measures. The trainee will also be able to provide assistance in remote areas, using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation.
The aim of C2 GWO-EFA, is to enable the participant to support and provide ongoing care of a colleague, while waiting for a professional rescue team to arrive. The C2 GWO-EFA is a 3-day training course conducted according to international GWO standards, with our partner Lifelink On Call. The training is also offered with two options: Telemedicine + Simalation training.
Examination takes place through both practical and oral exercises, continuous evaluation of the student takes place during the course days. In case of uncertainty, the student has the right to appeal the evaluation. This must be done in writing to the Training Manager.
C2 GWO-EFA is conducted in warm indoor premises during all months of the year. Experienced and well-trained instructors from C2 & Lifelink On Call lead the training. Completed and approved training provides an international certificate according to the GWO standard.
Health declaration
Before starting the programme, all students must sign a health declaration to confirm sufficient fitness for physical activities.
Personal protective equipment
We offer the opportunity to purchase personal protective equipment as part of the training programme.
Course information
We provide the equipment and materials for the course. At C2's training courses, we always use the latest and best equipment available on the market. The courses can be held in both Swedish and English. The training is carried out at our facility in Uppsala.
Coffee and lunch included. Minimum 6 max 12 participants. WINDA fee of 100 SEK/module included.
