Throw lines

In climbing, throw lines are used to help secure climbers moving along rock faces, by throwing the line around a safe anchor point and attaching climbing ropes and other equipment to it. Throw lines are usually made from strong and durable materials such as nylon or polyester, and are available in different lengths and thicknesses depending on the application.
