Avalanche safety on the agenda
Practical and theoretical avalanche safety is the theme when employees from 20 specially invited stores gather for a training weekend before the winter season starts in earnest. Four of Sweden's avalanche experts will give lectures during the programme, which also includes practical exercises and equipment tests. Initiators and organisers are Klingheim and 24 Hour Meals together with us at C2 Vertical Safety. The training is being held this weekend on 9-10 October and the venue is Svenstavik in Jämtland.

Headlamp becomes bike light
Here you see two of Petzl's toughest lights. Petzl Ultra Rush and Petzl Ultra Vario. We test both at the same time to see what they can do. Here we have attached one to the helmet and one directly to the handlebar with the special holders available for the lights. Works perfectly as bike lights too. What a light!

The Baltic Sea affects
Every year, the Sustainable Seas initiative organises a seminar on the Baltic Sea. A few days ago it was time again and the question to the scientists was where the Baltic Sea is heading in a number of areas such as fishing, eutrophication, bird life and chemicals. As a partner of the Sustainable Seas Initiative, we were there to learn more. If you are also interested in the Baltic Sea, you can watch the entire seminar on SVT Forum. There is already a film clip of Crown Princess Victoria visiting the Sustainable Seas Initiative's exhibition "Etta med kök. Read more and watch the film clip here.

Fixed systems in Tele2 Arena
Tele2 Arena is an example where fixed systems make repair work easier, smarter and faster. The system is installed to facilitate and maximise safety - both for the arena's own riggers and riggers who temporarily work there for various events. If you carry out frequent inspections, assignments or maintenance work on buildings, fixed systems can be a good alternative. Contact us and we will tell you more about fixed systems and C2 360°, which is our complete solution for you who work at height! Email us at info@c2safety or call 018-67 79 90.
Swedish Championship gold for Anna Eriksmo
Congratulations to Swedish Championship gold in Triathlon Anna Eriksmo - one of our awesome athletes in C2 Sports Team. After a good swim and some slower cycling, which got better as the rain increased, she was 14 minutes behind the leader before the run. That's when Anna decides to push hard and go for gold. We like that!
- It was a thrilling event. I gave it everything I had and three kilometres before the finish I took the lead. I love the variety of different endurance and adventure sports and the best thing I know is to combine them," says Anna. Congratulations! Read more about Anna and her unexpected victory on Anna's blog.
Education at home
C2 Power Industry Tree Pole is one of many training programmes that you can choose to take with us. The courses are carried out in our own training facility C2 Training Centre in Uppsala, but when we are asked, we carry out the training on the course participants' home ground. A few days ago, C2's Erik and Robin were in Söderhamn at Kraftkonsulterna where the gang at the office, who work with preparation and project planning, took the C2 Tree Pole course. All so that they can go out on emergency and disturbances when required, but also to better understand how the company's line worker team works.
C2 Tree Pole is about how to work ergonomically and safely in a pole, but most of all, the training is about the removal of the casualty using the standardised EBR kit that should always be attached to the harness when working. Find out more about our courses and see our full training programme here.
