The toughest Swedish mountain marathon of the year will be held in Bydalsfjällen on 19 August. A demanding course in a challenging landscape awaits the participants. With its dramatic nature, stone deserts, rocky areas and many demanding metres of altitude, Bydalsfjällen is more reminiscent of the Alps than the Swedish mountains.
- Bydalsfjällen is unique in its own way. It is an incredibly beautiful mountain area that is perfect for a sharper and more challenging mountain marathon. The 50 kilometre course has no less than 2,900 metres of altitude, which is a lot for such a short distance. The course will take the runners to many fantastic passages. Among other things, you run both through and along the edge of the mighty Domskåran gorge, says Patrik Nordin, course designer and responsible for BUFF® Bydalsfjällen.
