Collective fall protection

Collective fall protection is designed to protect all people working or staying in an area where there is a risk of falling from a height, without the user needing to wear or attach personal fall arrest equipment. The protection usually consists of permanent or temporary guardrails, barriers or other physical boundaries that prevent people from reaching or falling over an unprotected edge. Collective fall protection can be used on, for example, roofs, working platforms, walkways and other surfaces where people regularly need to be or perform work at a height.
