RIG Standard

The Petzl RIG is a descender for rope access and technical rescue, developed for experienced users. It offers high control during descent, smooth work positioning, and quick handling in everyday use. The AUTO LOCK function makes work safer and more efficient, without unnecessary steps.

RIG is designed for daily use in demanding environments where reliability, control and durability are crucial. The ergonomic handle provides a secure grip and fine control over descent. The openable side plate makes it easier to pass intermediate anchors without detaching the device from the harness. When the rope is locked, the user can also make short ascents by pulling the rope through the device without using the handle. For intensive use, a repairable version is also available where the cam and pin can be replaced with a repair kit.
