The Petzl ASAP lock is a compact rope fall arrest device that automatically stops falls. It runs freely along the rope without manual handling, providing high safety and efficiency when working at height.

ASAP is a central part of a complete fall protection system and functions as a backup in rope access. In the event of a fall or if speeds exceed 2 m/s, the device locks immediately onto the rope, even if it is held. The toothed cam provides reliable grip even on dirty or icy ropes. The device is simple to install and compatible with 10–13 mm rope diameters. For optimal safety, it is used in conjunction with the ASAP’SORBER energy absorber, depending on the working distance and requirements.

När du använder Petzl ASAP vid ett fall verkar det genom att gripa tag i repet och stoppa ditt fall, precis som en säkerhetsbroms. Det löper fritt upp och ner på repet när du klättrar och klämmer sedan åt repet automatiskt om du plötsligt faller.
