Competent person

The Competent Person course will give you a deep understanding and broad knowledge to identify defects on PPE. After completing this course, you will be well-equipped to effectively inspect your personal protective equipment independently.

Target group

Personal fall protection equipment (PPE) must be inspected by a "competent person" regularly, at least once a year, and this must be documented. In this course, we provide you with information and techniques so that you can:

- Carry out checks before, during and after use.
- Identify damage and defects in the product
- Make a written documentation and report
- Determine whether action
- Using new technologies for smoother inspection 

Course information

This content-rich course will deepen your knowledge and help you inspect your equipment effectively. With our test centre, you will have the opportunity to test equipment to breaking point, a practical exercise that is much appreciated! You will also get to try NFC technology to make inspection easier. It is recommended to bring your own laptop. The training will be held at our training facilities in Uppsala and Höganäs, or at the customer's premises.

ATTENTION! All course participants need to bring a computer to the course.

Examination is through both practical exercises and a written test at the end of the course.
Coffee and lunch included. Minimum 4 max 8 participants.

This course is also suitable for those who have already completed the course but want to renew their knowledge (PPE Refresh).
