Grigri Rope Brake Red

GriGri is a belay device designed for the experienced belayer on the rock or climbing wall. It can handle ropes with diameters between 8.5-11 mm.

Acting much like a car seat belt, the jerk and strain of a fall causes it to lock the rope. To lower the climber, use the lever to release the brake on the rope and control the speed of descent by braking the free end of the rope with your hand.

NOTE! If the rope is placed in the wrong direction in the GriGrin, it has no locking function at all!
