C2 Vertical Safety

SecuRope QuickSet cable vertical lifeline system

SecuRope QuickSet from Fallprotec is a vertical wire-based fall arrest system for safer movement on fixed ladders and vertical structures. The system follows the user during ascent and descent and locks immediately onto the wire in the event of a fall.

The system consists of stainless steel components and uses the openable fall arrest runner ZIP!, which can be fitted or removed at any point along the wire. The runner passes intermediate anchors without the user needing to detach themselves. The design features vibration damping for the wire and requires no swaged wire ends. The fall arrest can either be integrated into the runner or located at the upper anchor. Intermediate anchors and the top anchor do not deform under load.

Areas of use

SecuRope QuickSet is used as vertical fall protection on wind turbines, electricity pylons, masts, industrial facilities and existing fixed ladders on buildings. The system can also be used for work in confined spaces and for access to industrial, residential, airport and commercial roofs. Fallprotec can develop project-specific solutions for roof access.

FAQ

How does SecuRope QuickSet work when climbing?

The ZIP runner follows the user along the vertical wire rope during ascent and descent. In the event of a fall, it locks directly onto the wire rope and arrests the fall.

Must the ZIP! trolley be attached at the start of the cable?

No. The runner is openable and can be connected or removed at any point along the wire.

Can SecuRope QuickSet be fitted to existing fixed ladders?

Yes. The system is designed for existing fixed ladders, among other things, and can be used as vertical fall protection when climbing.
