RsqTec COCOON
Cocoon is a rollable stretcher that combines the functions of a patient stretcher and a rescue harness in one compact and lightweight system. It has been developed for rescue operations in difficult-to-access environments where low weight, easy transport, and rapid deployment are crucial.
The rollable design makes the Cocoon easy to transport and store, while also allowing for quick on-site assembly for immediate use. The stretcher can be used for both horizontal and vertical transport of injured individuals and is particularly suited for rescue in shafts, confined spaces, and mountainous environments. The system can be enhanced with accessories for extended functionality and is also approved for airborne rescue by helicopter when used in conjunction with the certified PCDS system.
Areas of use
Cocoon is developed for technical rescue, confined space rescue, shaft work, mountain rescue and other operations in difficult-to-access environments. It can be used for both rope-based evacuation and aerial rescue where injured persons are transported as external loads under a helicopter.
