REFLEX Mechanical Hitch

The REFLEX Mechanical Hitch is a mechanical rope brake that can be mounted directly in the centre of the rope, meaning that the entire length of the rope does not need to be pulled through the device during installation or removal. This makes handling faster and smoother during climbing, especially when working in trees or when using ropes with larger end markings.

The device is designed for precise friction control and a smooth, gradual descent. The rope is easily placed in the device and wrapped around the L-shaped links, with the top link with lock holding the rope securely in place. The design provides smooth and consistent friction and can be used in both MRT and SRT systems without the need for additional friction equipment. For those who wish, the unit can also be combined with APEX and FLEX Tether for additional friction control.

REFLEX is designed for rescue work up to 200kg. It is equipped with a removable swivel eye that allows the unit to be quickly disconnected without dismantling the entire climbing system. The swivel eye holds two carabiners or two ropes for a compact set-up and can be easily replaced in case of wear.
