PATROL

PATROL is a horizontal fall arrest system used on roofs and facades. It can be installed on wood, metal and concrete, which provides a great deal of flexibility when planning both continuous and non-continuous lifeline systems. It is easy to assemble, and you can have long distances between the anchor points, making the installation faster and more efficient.

The system can be used as a horizontal lifeline, an overhead system or a facade-mounted lifeline. PATROL requires no swaged terminations, and all components can be fitted using standard tools. SPEAR and SPEAREVO are end elements that have built-in springs. They compensate for the cable shortening or lengthening when the temperature changes. It is a smart solution that keeps the cable tight and stable in all weather conditions.

SPEAREVO also functions as a fall arrest energy absorber and tensioner. It helps to keep the cable at the correct tension at all times, and it reduces the load on the end components and on the structural fixings. This is a major advantage for both safety and durability. With PATROL, it is possible to have spans of up to 15 metres between support points, which makes the system very practical in large spaces.

Areas of use

PATROL is developed for permanent fall protection solutions on roofs and facades and can be adapted to various substrates and structures. The system is also suitable for long lifeline systems with multiple curves, as well as installations where large temperature variations may affect the length and tension of the cable.

FAQ

What is the maximum distance between check points in the PATROL system?

PATROL allows for spans of up to 15 metres between support points thanks to the SPEAREVO absorber and tensioner.

Can PATROL be installed on different types of surfaces?

Yes. The system has special support for installation on wood, metal and concrete, which makes it possible to adapt the solution to the building's construction.

How often does PATROL need to be inspected?

The system is to be inspected and maintained every 12 months from the initial installation. The components remain visible, which simplifies checking items such as cables and cable tension.
