The Petzl BAR is a removable positioning sling specifically designed for use with the ATTACHE carabiner with screw lock.

It mounts securely to the ATTACHE carabiner, promoting proper loading along the main axis and preventing dangerous cross-loading during belaying or glacier travel. This helps to prevent the carabiner from breaking.

The BAR also ensures that the ATTACHE gate faces downwards towards the user, increasing safety by protecting against accidental opening of the gate. The ergonomic design provides better comfort when securing compared to just using the carabiner.
