The NOMIC ice axe sets the standard for ice climbing. Perfectly balanced, equipped with weights, it provides an exceptional swing. PUR'ICE pick provides effective placement in all types of ice. The shape of the ice axe and the double handle provide multiple grip positions and stable hand switching. The grip is comfortable thanks to the ergonomics of the handle and the adjustable GRIPREST hand rest. The minimalist hammer protects the head and allows the user to hammer back a piton. The ice axe is fully modular and can be optimised for the terrain.

Effective placement on all types of ice:

- The PUR'ICE pick is tapered at the tip (3 mm), providing excellent penetration in all types of ice, even the hardest. It is serrated at the top to provide stable support when turned upside down.

- inertia and impact quality are optimised thanks to the MASSELOTTE weights.

Comfortable grip, designed for technical ice climbing:

- multiple grip positions and stable hand shifting thanks to the double handle (high and low)

- the lower handle is offset to protect the hand from contact with the ice and to provide more comfort during suspension

- the upper handle is over-moulded and made of two materials, providing excellent grip and insulation against the cold

- hydroformed shaft for optimal grip in the centre of the shaft

Modular construction:

- fully modular head allows the technical aspects of the ice axe to be adjusted

- compatible with Petzl accessories: IS, TORR, PUR'DRY, PANNE, MARTEAU

- sold with MINI MARTEAU, to protect the head and enable the user to hammer back a piton

- without accessories, the ice axe is lighter, for dry work (only 500 g)

- The GRIPREST NOMIC hand rest is over-moulded and adjustable in three positions to suit all hand sizes, even with gloves. The lower part has a serrated stainless steel tip that provides better support when used in piolet-canne mode.

- the connection hole is compatible with V-LINK elastic loss prevention tape
